Symantec released the sixth bi-annual Internet Security Threat Report, its report which provides analysis and discussion of trends in Internet attacks, vulnerabilities, and malicious code activity for the period of January 1 to June 30, 2004. Key findings: e-commerce was the single most targeted industry with nearly 16 percent of attacks against it, attacks against web application technologies are increasingly popular, and over the past six months, the average vulnerability-to-exploit window was just 5.8 days, among others.
