Apple’s Mac OS X “Leopard” — New Messaging and Collaboration Features

This week saw an announcement of new features in the forthcoming "Leopard" release of Mac OS X (10.5). Here’s a quick list of things that caught our eyes:

  • Mail
    • improved HTML support
    • notes and tasks
    • RSS feed aggregator/reader
    • templates
  • iCal
    • CalDAV support
    • dropbox — easily share files for a meeting
    • schedule rooms and other resources
  • iChat
    • new tabbed UI
    • screen sharing
