Notes on Exhibitors at Exchange Connections Conference. There were 46 exhibitors at the show; 80% had messaging products that related to Exchange. The rest were Windows-oriented, such as general-purpose backup tools or desktop management tools.

The largest clump of Exchange-related vendors offered high availability solutions for Exchange. A lot of ventures have come into being recently in that field. After that, the largest clusterings had to do with spam control and email archiving.

Most vendors seemed happy with the traffic. Most had 10' by 10' booths. All smaller vendors had senior staff there; of the larger vendors, half had senior product management present, half had just field sales staff.

Exhibition hours were open only sporadically. But vendors were happy with that. It gave them free time, and the show organizers had arranged the event so that conference attendees found it natural to visit the exhibition floor
