· Spam, virus, and other threat filters are now automatically updated.
· Standard sets of policies to ensure compliance with specific industry regulations are now available. These cover, respectively, financial services, energy, health care, and SOX. The policies are generalized from customer experience, and represent industry best practices.
· A single administrator interface now works across a wide variety of real-time communications, such as Microsoft LCS, Lotus Sametime, Exchange IM, Jabber, Reuters, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ.
· Supports Microsoft Live Communicaions Server 2005 with public IM connectivity and federation.
Release Date: v7 is available in March 2005.
Pricing: Bought by server and client access license. Server starts at $7,500, client access licenses at $25. Subscription pricing reduces the costs for smaller companies. Most enterprises go for server and client licenses. Volume discount are available. Eg, 10,000 seats are a "low six figures spend".
Main Plans--Next 12 Months:
· Enhance secure federation. Microsoft LCS 2005 allows enterprises to connect their communications network to other IM users on a mix of different public services such as AOL, MSN, and Yahoo. IM Manager will improve threat protection in such mixed environments.
· IMlogic will work with third parties to deliver solutions for small and medium sized businesses, such as combined IM/email appliances and unified threat management appliances.

· The sets of policies for financial services, energy, health care, and SOX sound very useful. Many organizations are unclear about what policies they need to implement to ensure compliance. Generalizing from customers' collective experience makes enormous sense.
