Tumbleweed advances the war on spam with new adaptive image filtering technology

Tumbleweed Communications announced Adaptive Image Filtering, its anti-image spam technology. Detects image spam by analyzing email images using an image-processing technique called a wavelet transform which reduces the image to a mathematical formula that represents the structure of the image, but allows for variation, a technique known as fuzzy matching.  read more »
