Exchange 2007 SP1 Now Available

Microsoft has made available Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Exchange 2007. New features in this release include these highlights:

  • Standby Continuous Replication (SCR) for high availability
  • Support for Windows Server 2008
  • Support for IPv6
  • Exchange Management Console (EMC) support for POP3 and IMAP4 administration
  • Public Folder support in Outlook Web Access (OWA)
  • Web services access to public folders
  • PowerShell import/export support for PSTs for e-discovery purposes

SP1 also rounds out many other features, including some that the product group cut from the original Exchange 2007 release due to scheduling constraints. Notably, these include several administration features that were accessible from the administration GUI in previous versions, but were relegated to the command-line in Exchange 2007.

You can download SP1, discover the full list of what's new, and read the release notes.
