Symantec’s consumer AV line has been justifiably criticized in the past for imposing a large performance impact on the user’s PC. Over the past couple of years, the company has been working hard to shrug off that reputation.
The quantitative performance results in this press release seem impressive.
Also impressive-sounding are the av-test.org results — 98% is up there with fast-moving AV engines such as Kaspersky.
